As the nation’s overall unemployment rate ticked upward to 9.8% in November from 9.6%, the number of jobs in the accounting and bookkeeping sector declined by another 1,600 to a preliminary seasonally-adjusted 876,000, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It’s a new post-crash low.

    This is a great opportunity for a local accountant to hire someone to replace themselves. If I got someone in here to do my job, I could spend more time calling on new clients. In the past the price for a CPA was to high. Supply and demand will drive the cost of a highly skilled CPA down so I can afford them.
