‘Singing CPA’ Gets Down with the PPP

Remember: ‘Wash your hands.’

Steven B. Zelin – The Singing CPA – is rapping out the praises of the Paycheck Protection Program in his new Youtube video aimed at drumming up some new business.

It’s a “fun explanation of the Payroll Protection Program, loans from the Small Business Administration to support small businesses with the economic slowdown from the coronavirus,” says Zelin, CPA, and managing member of Zelin & Associates CPAs in New York City.

In a “tribute” to Naughty by Nature’s early 90s classic, Zelin raps:

“All the savvy players have friends at the bank,

to put them first in line when the program starts to crank.”

So…

“Grab your accountant and do your calculation,

to get the figures right for your loan application.”

As “The Singing CPA”  and a CPA for twenty years, Zelin has even made “The Singing CPA” a registered trademark. He regularly sings on the steps of the post office on the income tax filing deadline and before many non-profit and small business groups.

“Right now, there is clearly a new era in communication for all of us,” says Zelin as he and the staff from Zelin & Associates CPA work remotely from home.  “We have displayed greater sensitivity to our client communications, reminded our clients about the importance of social distancing to keep safe, and have added the words, “Wash Your Hands” to all communications.”
