What do I see for 2020?

Cybersecurity: There is a heightened awareness around protecting client data and protecting firms from what appear to be increased incidents of hacking. Firms are encouraged to move from in-house servers to entirely cloud-based solutions.

Tax Season: Most of the firms I work with reported last year as the most brutal tax season on record. About the Author

Chris Frederiksen landed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1961 and has been engaged in the public accounting profession since that time.

He joined Touche Ross & Co. in 1969, and was elected a partner in 1973, one of the youngest in the firm. Chris is the author of several books including The new Business Kit and 57 Ways to Grow Your Business Budgeting for Results and Cash Management for Results. Chris has been named among the 100 Most Influential People in the Accounting Profession by Accounting Today and one of 25 New Thought Leaders by CPA Practice Advisor. His alma mater, Golden Gate University conferred on him an honorary doctorate.
