She began her career at Countrywide while obtaining a BS in Finance at UT Arlington. After realizing a zeal for taxes, she began working at Deloitte while pursuing an MSA at Southern Methodist University. In 2010, she became one of the youngest female CPA firm owners in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Meyer works with local nonprofits, like GRACE Family Crisis Support and the Southlake Public Library.
