Self-confessed hypomanic Johanna Fox Turner is doing a lot of things. If we had an award for “high energy CPA” she’d get the blue ribbon. But I don’t think she’d sit still long enough to accept it.
One of the things she’s doing is advertising her firm on local TV in her hometown Mayfield, Ky., a market which covers states. Her “QuickBooks Rap” video (left) has become favorite of QuickBooks consultants everywhere. She reports it’s been hugely successful. “It’s been three months since we’ve run it,” she said, “and people are still coming up to me and saying ‘we love your commercial.” The $5,000 she spent to create the ad will be paying dividends all year.
