Best Career Moves for a CPA?
Advice from BusinessWeek, Fortune magazines
The Big 4 may be fine firms in which to start a career. But they’ve fallen from grace as places to continue your career. Jobs in The Money notes that the Big 4 “landed far from the pinnacle” in the Fortune ranking of America’s 100 most desirable employers. “None made the top 50.” And that, Jobs in the Money says, “marks a sharp contrast” with a 2007 BusinessWeek ranking of the best places to start a career, in which the top three choices belonged to Big 4 firms. Deloitte & Touche, which topped BusinessWeek’s list, came in 95th among the Fortune top 100.
