FIRMS TO WATCH: Larson and Rosenberger Build Insurance Niche

Merger creates largest local insurance auditor in Western U.S.

Rosenberger Schwartz & Co. of Los Angeles is merging with Larson & Co. of Salt Lake City, Utah, to form Larson & Rosenberger and make a big presence in the insurance industry even bigger.

A.M. Best has ranked Rosenberger 19th and Larson 31st, respectively, in a study of the nation’s top insurance industry auditing firms. As a result of the merger, Larson & Rosenberger expects to be ranked in the top 15 nationally and 5th in the Western States.

Both firms boast 32 years of insurance experience providing auditing, tax and regulatory compliance advisory services.

“This merger,” says Bill Rosenberger, “both broadens our service offerings and deepens the level of insurance industry knowledge and experience we bring to our clients. ”

On the larsco.com website, the firm tackles a touchy client-relations issue head-on, promising clients: “Same people, same fees.”

This must be a rise of an indestructible insurance company–two companies made stronger. Merging is one way of keeping the business running and to gain better market position however there are internal issues that the two companies must deal with for they could hinder business growth. Oftentimes, internal conflict is the cause of a merge failure. I think they have already considered this.
