Half of firms use two. Some use more. A surprising number use just one.

Multiple monitors, of course.

People are still using just one monitor??? Hard to believe.
Mike Fischer
I know were a small CPA firm of 3 & we’ve using 4 Monitors for the last 6+ years
Michael Chaffee
Agreed, that is hard to believe.
Even more difficult to believe? That the % of those with only one monitor is INCREASING!!!
From 5.6% in 2019 to 6.9% in 2020 to 17.1% in 2021!!! What’s going on? Is this a result of more remote workers, monster single monitors, or something else?
Robert Pitts
Yes, I am seeing a trend of 4K 36-42 inch single monitors, either super-wide and curved or traditional 16:9. The software to split these large screens into multiple effective monitors in your OS has been getting much better and this route can be cost-effective when compared to three 27 inch 4k monitors.
Michael Davis
Responding to you and seconding Mr. Pitts. Triple-wides for us in house (IDK what our remotes use). Clutter reduction is a plus; the trade-off is lack of redundancy.
Wendy Hamilton
Our firm has over 200 employees. We use single monitors, but they are all at least 40″ monitors, subdivided into 4 windows. Maybe that explains the upward trend in single monitors?
