Taylor Macdonald Joins Promethean as Vice President of Channels

Former Deltek, Sage exec appointed to meet growing demand in North America

Education technology specialist, Promethean, today announced the appointment of Taylor Macdonald as Vice President of Channels – Americas. The former Vice President for Worldwide Channels at Deltek, Inc. begins his new role immediately.

With more than 20 years experience in technology, channel and partnership strategy, Macdonald will be responsible for the leadership and development of Promethean’s North American sales channel, directing a national network of education business partners and driving sales through strategic partnerships.

Prior to Deltek, Macdonald served as Chief Channel and Strategy Officer, responsible for driving Sage Software’s overall channel and partnering strategies. Previously, he was executive vice president, channel and sales operations, for Sage Software. Prior to joining Sage, Mr. Macdonald was Founder and President of Macdonald Consulting Group (MCG) of Atlanta, GA; a business software-consulting firm formed in 1990 which quickly expanded to become Sage Software’s 6-time top worldwide business partner.

He has been recognized by the American Business Awards as Sales Executive of the Year, based on his channel advocacy efforts, and has been featured as a Top Channel Executive by VARBusiness magazine, as one of the Top 50 Channel Champions in CRN magazine, and was named one of the “Top 100 Most Influential People” in the accounting profession by Accounting Today magazine in 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004 and 1998. He was named a “Technology Star” by Accounting Technology magazine in 1997
