Indianapolis-based Blue & Co. is reportedly launching an independent business unit aimed at small business called Aliign LLC in the Indiana and Ohio markets.  Kentucky is due to follow in the first quarter of 2010. Aliign’s website lists seven directors and five offices.

    This is a smart business strategy. And I applaud the consideration of business naming and visual identification issues. It is rare for an accounting firm to grasp this marketing concept. I’m not convinced that they have the most appropriate and meaningful solution for the visual elements that represent the business, but it is impressive that they’ve made a serious attempt.
