Here’s a good question for the busy season: What’s the main reason you may lose a client this year?

What’s so good about a nasty question like that? Well, if that’s not the kind of question you’ve been asking yourself lately, guess what you’re losing right now.”

It’s the hard questions that most need asking and answering. Your colleagues in CPA firms tell me that “price, fees, costs, budgets and affordability” are the most common causes of dwindling clientele. That leaves me wondering how close we might be to a price war if we’re not there already.
